XRF Selected by NATO for the DIANA 2026 Programme
XRF has been selected by NATO to join the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) 2026

XRF has been selected by NATO to join the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) 2026, the Alliance’s flagship programme designed to accelerate dual-use technologies capable of transforming defence, security, and civil emergency response.
This year’s call was exceptionally competitive, with 3,680 applications from 32 Allied nations, placing XRF among the European companies chosen to help shape the next generation of mission-critical capabilities.
A recognition of sovereign technology built in Spain
XRF’s selection into DIANA confirms the strength of a technological vision developed in Europe and validated in real operations. Our AI-native, multi-domain Command & Control platform, integrating artificial intelligence, collaborative XR, edge computing, and advanced simulation, is already deployed in real missions with European Armed Forces, emergency services, and civil protection agencies.
For DIANA, XRF will contribute solutions within the Data-Assisted Decision Making challenge, a priority area for NATO that requires fusing heterogeneous data, accelerating decision cycles, and coordinating military and civilian actors across highly dynamic environments.
What DIANA means for XRF
Joining DIANA represents a decisive leap forward for XRF across three dimensions:
1. Operational validation in NATO environments
The programme provides access to a network of 200+ test centres and 16 accelerators across the Alliance. This will allow us to test, refine and validate our technology with real operational units, accelerating our path toward TRL 8, where XRF becomes a fully deployable capability for defence and emergency agencies.
2. Integration into Europe’s future technological architecture
DIANA offers a unique environment to collaborate with armed forces, research centres, civil agencies, and industry leaders. XRF will help shape emerging standards, interoperability layers, use cases, and technical requirements for the next generation of C2, simulation, and multi-agency coordination systems.
3. Access to multinational deployment and funded opportunities
The programme includes contractual funding mechanisms and the potential to participate in multi-country pilots and deployments, significantly expanding XRF’s operational footprint and long-term commercial impact.
Next-generation technology for defence and civil protection
XRF’s platform is designed to tackle one of the most urgent operational challenges of our time: how to see, understand and act faster than the threat, whether in military missions, natural disasters, or complex emergencies.
Our technology enables:
- Unified fusion of real-time data from UAVs, sensors, video, GIS, IoT and autonomous platforms.
- A shared Common Operational Picture across strategic, operational and tactical levels.
- Training and live operations within the same multi-user XR environment.
- Resilient performance in disconnected or contested environments.
- Explainable AI-assisted decision-making for mission-critical scenarios.
A milestone for XRF and for European innovation
For a company built in Spain, with a strong commitment to sovereign innovation, joining DIANA places XRF at the heart of NATO’s and Europe’s technological transformation. It also reflects the vision and talent of the XRF team, and the trust of the armed forces, emergency agencies, and partners who share our mission: to build European technology capable of competing and leading at global scale.
2026 will be a defining year.
We are ready to demonstrate that Europe can build, deploy and scale world-class capabilities for defence and emergency response.
